March With the Peace Resource Center in the
Martin Luther King Jr. Parade!

Saturday, Jan. 14, 2006
Assemble 9:30am (march 10am-1pm)

Peace, social justice and environmental advocates are invited to march in the SDCPJ contingent Bring signs and banners reminding people of King's philosophy of peace, social justice and global interdependence.  Help us create a large peace and justice contingent to counter the presence in the parade of militaristic organizations like the Navy, JROTC, ROTC, Border Patrol, Police and Sheriff's Department.

NEW LOCATION THIS YEAR:  Assembly location will be at Tailgate Park (13th and Imperial Ave.) Parade route will be North on Park Blvd. to "J" Street, West on "J" to 7th, South on 7th Ave. back to Tailgate Park. ARRIVE EARLY and park on side streets. The area will be crowded with members of different parade units, so look for the peace flags, banners and signs we will be carrying.

We will be officially registered as the Peace Resource Center.   Our position is Division 2, Number 22.  (There will be several separate contingents this year marching together, so you can also ask for the San Diego Coalition for Peace Resource Center.)
